Mondays, July 9th and 23rd  the Open Pinochle Group will meet in the Faculty/Staff Lounge at 1:30pm-2:30pm
 
Our Open Pinochle Group has had its organizational meeting and decided to meet the 2nd and 4th
Mondays of each month.  Whether you’ve never played before and would like to learn or just need a refresher to get back into the game, our Open Pinochle Group welcomes you to join in.
Take advantage of this wonderful learning opportunity and meet other ALI members in the process.
 
Wednesdays, July 11th, 18th, and 25th the Italian Enrichment class meets in Room 134 at 1:30-2:30pm.
 
ALI member Frederick Skelding continues his Italian Enrichment class.  The program will offer culture enrichment including Italian conversation in class and learning grammar.
 
Thursday, July 26th, the Listen and Learn program will meet in the Faculty/Staff Lounge at
10:30am-12:00 noon. Rich and Gale Nord will present a program on Borneo-Birds, Blooms and Butterflies: A Colorful  Cacophony of Rainforest Inhabitants.
 
Join Rich and Gail on their adventures  in Malaysian Borneo as they explore the diversity of the world’s
3rd largest island.  
 
The Nords, who moved to Claverack more than a dozen years ago, return as ALI’s guests to share in another of their amazing adventures.  Rich grew up in Wappingers Falls and spent 30 years with IBM
working as a tool maker in research and development.  He is a lifetime wildlife enthusiast with a special interest in birds.  Gale, who grew up in Colorado, majored in Zoology, history and art in college.  She was a professional interpretive naturalist with the National Park Service in the Everglades.
 
Together, their travels have taken them to Asia, Africa, South America and Europe in pursuit of the wildlife experiences which they both relish.  Together they support numerous organizations that benefit the natural world.

The ALI Open Level Bridge Group will meet Tuesdays, July 10th, 17th, 24th and 31st  at 1:30pm-4pm in the Faculty/Staff Lounge.  The group is always looking for new ALI members to play or learn to play bridge.
