(Kingston) Earlier this month, Assemblymember Kevin Cahill (D- Ulster, Dutchess) sent a letter to David Lundquist, CEO, HealthAlliance Inc., requesting a collaborative effort to convene public and open forums to discuss the future of the health care in our community.

“I am pleased to announce that we are going ahead together with plans to facilitate public discussions regarding the future of healthcare in our region,” said Assemblymember Cahill.  “As a constituent and consumer myself, I know firsthand how important it is to keep the public informed on this issue and provide for meaningful participation for our entire community.”

The first forum is scheduled to be held on Tuesday, June 26th at Kingston City Hall at 6:00pm. A second community meeting will be held on Thursday, June 28th at Cahill Elementary School, located in Saugerties, at 6:00pm.  For more information please contact Kristen Murphy in the District Office of Assemblymember Cahill at 845-338-9610.

“This is a significant step in the right direction and I am optimistic that if we continue to work together, we can establish a fair plan for the future,” said Assemblymember Cahill.

“The meetings have been scheduled to accommodate public input.  For those who are unable to attend in person, thoughts, comments and questions can be sent to my office,” said Assemblymember Cahill.  “We can be reached by mail at 1 Albany Avenue Suite G-4 Kingston, New York 12401, by email at cahillk@assembly.state.ny.us and by telephone at (845) 338-9610.”
