Many thanks to these local businesses who contributed to the success of this year’s Summer Reading Program: Krause’s Chocolates, Mirabella’s, Omellette’s Café, Stella’s Station, Dam Café and Deli, Sugar Town, Hudson Valley Dessert Company, Kid Around and Lucky Chocolates. Generous donations of prizes helped motivate adult and teen readers to check out library materials and fill their summertime hours with great stories and learning opportunities.
A reception will be held on Friday, August 26th at 5 pm to reveal the winner of the Summer Photography Contest.  Visit the library and view the many outstanding entries taken by talented photographers.
Do you like to write and share with others? Come to the library on Wednesday, September 14th from 6-8 pm and join fellow writers for inspiration and camaraderie.  All are welcome.  The group meets the second and fourth Wednesday of each month.

All ages and skill levels are welcome to join this group that meets every Wednesday afternoon from 4-6 pm.

Learn what Letterboxing is and how you can take part in this fun, outdoor and indoor sleuthing adventure. Come to the library on Wednesday, September 14th from 6-7 pm to see what you need to get started and the great adventures ahead of you.  Letterboxing is perfect for all ages.
The library budget and trustee vote will take place on Thursday, September 1st from 10 am to 8 pm in the community room.  Copies of the budget are available at the library. Two five-year terms, one four-year term, and a one-year term are up for election.  Two incumbent candidates, Edward “Ted” Conathan and Steve Crohn are running, as well as Bernard “Bernie” Carroll, Crystal Holly Christiana, Cecelia Karashay, Katherine Gordon, Rebecca Mignano-Campbell, and Eric Zenker. Absentee ballots are available at the library.
