THE GUY’S PERSPECTIVE: A new guy in the new year - So I met this guy on New Year’s Eve and we really hit it off. He’s been contacting me every day since we met. Finally he asked me out. We spent the night talking, joking, watching a game and having a great time; he even introduced me to a few of his friends who were at the same bar. He was a complete gentleman the whole time. He held my hand while I walked down some stairs; he opened doors and pulled my chair out when I sat down; he commented about how pretty I looked; he was just a nice guy. Anyway, he walked me home and I gave him a hug and I thanked him and walked into my apartment. I was kind of nervous to give him a good night kiss. I texted him afterwards to thank him and tell him I had a good time. He immediately responded saying, "I’m glad you had some fun." I was struck by the fact that he didn’t say that he had a good time. Does he still seem interested? I'm afraid I blew it since the goodbye was kind of awkward. He hasn’t contacted me in a week and I don’t know what to do? Should I contact him and explain myself? What do you think? By Saelen Ghose, GHNS.

OPINION

JEFF VRABEL: 15,000 escaped crocs - On the whole it's been a pretty lousy week: Everywhere is cold, they're apparently still making another "Star Wars" movie, I managed to screw up a crock pot roast in such a way that it ended up with the flavor and consistency of a a DuraFlame (though it burned longer, of course) and the 1-year-old came down with a diaper rash of a shape and intensity that left him a shrieking crying hellbeast who developed the prescient ability to predict when you needed to change his diaper, so he could begin doing the thing where he liquefies his bones and  become impossible to pick up. That episode last I think four days, so needless to say if you ask why my eyes are so red and I look like I haven't slept, I'll probably respond by hitting you with a water balloon filled with diaper cream. SILVIO CALABI: F Sport transforms the Lexus RX 350 - About 15 years ago, when the original Lexus RX appeared, I wrote in a huff, “If you think the Hamptons are ‘the country,’ then this is your 'off-road’ vehicle.” That was during the dawn of the age of deluxe sport-utility vehicles as we know them now, and I was still fixated on 4x4s as ruff-tuff rock-crawlers. Silly me. By Silvio Calabi, GHNS.
