A Granger man who allegedly shot and just missed his girlfriend on Christmas has been jailed.

Amity-based State Police charged Davd L. Scott, 47, with first-degree reckless endangerment, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, first-degree unlawful imprisonment, second-degree menacing, fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment.

The girlfriend, whose name has not been released, was examined at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville for injuries. Police said the injuries were not from the gun shot.

Troopers were searching in the woods for Scott Christmas morning around 9 a.m. In the afternoon, troopers told the Daily Reporter the scene was secure and that residents were not in harm.

Troopers said Scott allegedly fired the gun in the direction of his girlfriend in their residence on Gardiner Road Granger and that she was almost struck.
