Although the weatherman tried to scare us off on Sunday, June 16, the Springwater Hiking group with 14 hikers and 2 bikers enjoyed a very pleasant tour around Canadice Lake. The hikers, led by Amy and Pati, walked to the south entrance to the State Forest and walked the western trail along the lake. Pam King and Mark Hopkins rode their bikes north on Canadice Lake Road to Canadice Hollow Road and looped and met the hikers.
On May 12 the group hiked from Old Bald Hill Road to Canadice Hollow Road, so Sunday, June 16, the group completed the route to Canadice Lake.

The after-hike social included a couple of salads, fresh fruit, cheese and crackers, and more delicious desserts than we should have eaten.

Next week the Springwater Trails hike will include hiking and kayaking on Hemlock Lake. For details please log into springwatertreails.org.”

Fathers and graduates were honored at Webster’s Crossing United Methodist Church last Sunday. Both Tiffany Longacre and Breenna Bortle were present to receive their Bibles. Lena Storrs, our lay speaker, stood in for our Pastor Regina who has bronchitis with our pastor’s sermon, “If”. Included in the announcements was the Spaghetti Dinner/Music Jam scheduled for June 25 when all are invited.
