The winless Mustangs came out of the gates strong at home as they would battle the Braves tooth and nail to take a 15-13 lead after one quarter of play. Avon coach Rob Fries made some adjustments and his team responded — the Braves reversed their fortunes by grabbing a 29-22 lead at the half.

Avon’s momentum continued into the third as they added another half-dozen points to their lead after three periods of play. Dansville had their most productive offensive quarter in thefourth with 17 points. But it was equalled by the Braves, who captured a 61-48 victory over the Mustangs (0-10).
