Dansville-Wayland-Cohocton: Top Players, Keys to the Game, Prediction
Dan-Way-Co ready to face off with Wayne on Friday evening in Dansville
Wayne enters the game with a 1-1 overall record after dropping a 33-13 loss to Pal-Mac last weekend in Wayne. Wayland-Cohocton slipped by Wilson Magnet by a 24-20 final in order to improve their record to 2-0 on the season.
This is the first meeting between the two programs in their current state, but Wayne and Dansville did match up in the 2015 Connors and Ferris Bowl. In that game, Wayne secured a 33-22 victory in the championship round.

Players to Watch:
Dan-Way-Co — Nick Belanger (QB/DB), Chris Giovine (WR/DB), Colin Mehlenbacher (RB/LB), Ben Teed (RB/LB), Evan Pruonto (RB/LB), Andrew Morrow (WR/DB), Holdyn Freeman (OL/DL).
Wayne — Mason Blankenberg (QB/DB), Devon Forrest (TE/DL), Joshua Harrison (WR/DB), Sean Nellis (RB/LB), LucasRyan LeMay (OL/LB), William Seymour (OL/DL), Rhyan Morgan (OL/DL).
3 Keys to Watch:
1. Dan-Way-Co’s defensive line has had two consecutive performances where they have simply dominated the line of scrimmage. DWC should once again have an advantage in the trenches, and they will need to exploit that in order to take down Wayne.
2. The DWC offense has several great options both in the passing game and the running game. If they can continue to spread the ball around and give the Wayne defense some different looks, then they will be able to put a few scores on the board.
3. Nick Belanger was out with an injury in last week’s game, but the DWC offense did not slow down much without him. Still, Belanger adds an important element to the passing game that will be needed as the competition continues to stiffen for DWC.
DWC continued to play well on week two and picked up a tough win over Wilson Magnet. I expect the offense to continue to roll and the defense to continue to shut down Wayne’s offense this week, leading to a big win over a huge school. DWC 34, Wayne 20.
