Last Week: The Dansville Mustangs lost a very close contest to the Hornell Red Raiders by a 28-25 final in order to drop to 1-3 on the season. Mynderse dropped to 0-2 on the season with a tough 14-12 loss to Waterloo at home.

Last Matchup: Dansville and Mynderse last met in the first round of the 2016 Connors and Ferris Bowl. In that matchup, the Blue Devils came away with the slim 21-13 win over Dansville in Seneca Falls.

Players to Watch: Dansville — Evan Pruonto (RB/LB), Ryan Carnevale (RB/DB), Caleb Rigdon (QB/DB), Billy Barrett (QB/DB), Logan Young, (RB/DB), Shane Crandall (OL/DL), Ryan Frazer (OL/DL). 3 Keys to Watch:

1. Dansville has a ton of offensive weapons, but has struggled to get all of them moving in the same game. If the Mustangs can figure out a way to get all of the pieces moving in the same direction this week, they should come away with a big road win.

2. Mynderse has had a rough start to the season after a COVID delay and a pair of tough matchups. Look for the Blue Devils to come into this game ready to play on their home field looking to get their first win of the season.

3. Both teams come into this game having lost very close contests last week. If this game comes down to the wire like it should, it will be a great test to see who has learned most from the late game falters. If the Mustangs have fixed some of the minor mistakes they made at the end of last week’s loss to Hornell, they should be able to get their second win of the season.
