Putnam records 39 new COVID-19 cases in a week with Carmel hardest hit; town-by-town breakdown
Putnam recorded almost 40 new COVID-19 cases last week, according to the county's dashboard.
The county reported 39 new cases from Sept. 25 to Oct. 1, adding up to 1,819 cases since March. There are 32 active cases and one person was admitted to Putnam Hospital Center as of last Thursday, according to the county.
The county has administered 47,888 tests since the pandemic began and 2,540 in the last week. There were no deaths reported over the last week and remain at 63 overall for the last three months.
Carmel had the brunt of the new cases with 23. The other five Putnam towns had new cases in the single digits, with Philipstown recording no new cases.
