A "Moment of Silence" was held at the beginning of the Athletic Wall of Fame Induction Ceremony for long-time Dansville Mustang, Gary "Lark" Lemen. "Lark“ unfortunately passed away this past December. His legacy as a true Dansville Mustang will live on forever. Lark was a 1965 Dansville graduate and worked for Dansville Central Schools as a custodian for 40 years. He was the first member inducted into the Dansville Athletic Wall of Fame in 2000.
Lark was a true sports fan who preached competition and sportsmanship. He sat on the bench and rode the bus to away games, leading the teams in the singing of the alma mater. He will always be remembered as Dansville Mustangs “number one fan."
