Mustangs win Cheer-Off hosting event for 1st time

DANSVILLE — Dansville hosted the Livingston County cheerleading league championships for the first time Tuesday night, and the Mustangs made it a meet to remember for the team.

First-year head coach Charlene Bennett and her Dansville Mustang fall cheerleading team won leagues at the competition, impressing the judges and making history as the event was held in Dansville for the first time.

The Livingston County League Cheer-Off was hosted by the red and black, and the trophy would never leave the building. The Dansville Cheer team not only thought that very idea, but went out and hit their marks and garnished the glory.

Congratulations to coach Bennett along with the 2019 fall cheerleading squad which includes Mackenzie Schledorn, Tiana Rowley, Emily Porter, Devon Peaty, Rose Miller, Kylie McDonald, Emma Masten, Hailey Miller, Jayden LaFever, Skylar Hinrich, Cammi Caffarelli, and Trinity Cartwright.
