BROCKPORT — Dansville Indoor Track & Field coach Eileen McMaster was excited for the Livingston County Athletic Association meet at SUNY Brockport on Friday night (Feb. 1).

She had lots to report, including the great news that Jade Simons' second-place Weight Throw of 31-5.5 set a new Dansville school record!

Coach McMaster noted, "We had a great night at Counties including 24 athletes scoring top-6 finishes, and Jade Simons' record-breaking toss too!"

Leading the Dansville boys was Alex Rodriguez, who won the 3200m (10:47.65) with Zach Foster 3rd. Rodriguez was also second in the 1600m (5:04.13), with Chad Thomas sixth.

Evan Pruonto (10.26) was second in the 55 hurdles. Chad Thomas was sixth in the 1000m. Billy Knapp was fourth in the weight throw. 

For the girls, in addition to the record-breaking throw from Simons, Kendra Evans won the 1500m race walk (9:41.32), with Erica Patanella second, Zoe Veaunt fourth and Natasha Lacque fifth.

Maggie Bacon was second in the 3000m (12:24.26) with Sofia Rodriguez fourth. Summer Foster was fifth in the 1500m with Maggie Bacon sixth. 

The 4x800 relay of Rachel Drake, Summer Foster, Evelyn Miller and Emma Beardsley was fourth. 

Emma Moore was sixth in the weight throw. In the High Jump, tying for third were Emma Beardsley and Evelyn Miller.
