WAYNE — The month of February started on a positive note on the wrestling mats as Dansville-Keshequa claimed three championships at the weekend's (Feb. 1-2) Section, V Class BBB tournament at Wayne High School, while D-K will send four athletes on to the next round.
Dansville-Keshequa skipper Jack Cook was pleased with the wrestlers efforts as Dansville-Keshequa took seventh in a team field of 14 while a quartet of locals parley onto the state qualifiers.

Levi Howe, a senior from Keshequa, won the championship at the 160 pound level. This marks his second consecutive Sectional title!
At the 195 pound bracket, Karam Ali, a senior from Dansville, knocked off a previously unbeaten opponent from Waterloo with a decisive victory.
In the 220 pound match-up, Dansville sophomore Shane Crandall pinned his Wellsville opponent in the first period to earn the title.
Taking a runner-up finish in the 113 pound bracket was Keshequa sophomore Trey Learn.
All four wrestlers will be headed off to the state qualifying tournament on Friday, Feb. 8 and Saturday, Feb. 9 in Brockport.
