Doris Shutt Teachout Goodine of Margate, Florida, age 90 passed away peacefully on September 6, 2020.

Doris was a graduate of Dansville Central High School, married Robert Teachout on August 1,1948 and together had 5 children. The family relocated to Florida in 1972 where she lived out the remainder of her life. Doris was a longtime member of the North Creek Presbyterian Church, VFW Ladies Auxiliary, American Legion and Eastern Star.

Predeceasing Doris were her parents, husbands Robert Teachout and Gerald Goodine, sister Lorraine Carver, brother Richard Shutt.

Doris is survived by two sisters; Marian Kennell and Alice Conaway, her children; Mary White, Mona Alongi, Susan Campbell, Carol Merian and Paul (Dinah) Teachout. Doris had 8 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at the Dansville Presbyterian Church at 11:00 am with a luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Victory Junction at victoryjunction.org.
