DANSVILLE — Dolly M. Kelly of Dansville died on July 11, 2017, at the age of 86 after a long battle with Parkinson’s. They married two years later on August 18, 1956. Dolly served as School Nurse Teacher for the Dansville School District for 32 years (1953-1994), for both the Ellis B. Hyde Elementary School and Dansville Primary School. She was a member of the Livingston County Children’s Protective Services Board for over 40 years, and served on the Board of Directors of Noyes Memorial Hospital for 24 years. Dolly was many things to those who knew her. She was a dedicated professional, an extraordinary mother and grandmother, and a welcoming and warm host. Her family remembers her beautifully decorated wedding cakes, her signature apple pies, and the outstanding birthday parties she threw for her grandchildren. She always went the extra mile for people, was creative, highly intelligent and well dressed. Above all she will be remembered for her inclusivity, elegance and warmth. She was highly respected by all who knew her. She will be missed. Dolly is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Bill Kelly, and their three children: Marie Sullivan of Dansville, NY; Bob Kelly (Susan) of Pacific Palisades, CA; and Patrick Kelly (Kathleen) of Rochester, NY.
