Marjorie Jean Graves Kiefer, age 91, passed peacefully on Nov. 21, 2016 at the Conesus Lake Nursing Facility, Livonia,NY.      Born and raised in Cohocton NY, Marje moved to the Dansville area after marrying Ralph Kiefer on March 30, 1946, then to Hornell, NY before spending 29 years in Madison IN to help with their son, David's, business.  After Ralph died in November 2008, Marje moved to the Alpine Manor in Lima, NY to be near her daughters, Dianne Rapp and Jean Kiefer.  
Always leading an active life, in NY, Marje worked full-time at auto dealerships in Dansville, then Hornell.  She was also a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ in Perkinsville; Order of the Eastern Star, South Dansville; and Buds and Blossoms Square Dance Club, Hornell.  In Indiana, Marje was the office manager for David's construction business, attended North United Methodist Church, sold Longaberger baskets, and was an active volunteer at King's Daughters' Hospital, Welcome Wagon, and the Madison Historical Society.

  Marje is survived by her children David Kiefer -Port St Lucie ,FL, Dianne (Louis) Rapp - Dansville, NY/Port St Lucie,FL, and Jean Kiefer - Avon, NY; grandchildren Rod (Julie) Kiefer -Madison, IN, Mark (Amy) Kiefer - Cicero,IN, Joshua (Molly) Rapp - New Salem,MA, Ashley (Ryan) Clark -Gastonia, NC, Lauren (Luke) Wood -Clay City, IN; great grandchildren Connor, Case, Blake, Emily Kiefer  (Madison, IN) and Whitney Clark(Gastonia,NC); also her sisters Janet (Allan) Cragg - The Villages,FL and Rita Oestreich -Merrill, WI; and brother-in-law, Richard Kiefer - Dansville, NY.  She was predeceased by her husband Ralph Kiefer 2008, father Loris Graves 1963 and mother Laura Brown Graves 1992.

  A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
