WAYLAND — The first-ever Corn and Clam Fest is scheduled to take over Main Street Wayland on Sunday, Aug. 11.
Main Street will be closed to vehicular traffic during the block party from 3-7 p.m. The free event will feature live music by Spare Time, corn and clams, drinks, cotton candy, fried dough, popcorn, tie-dyed event t-shirts and more.
The Corn and Clam Fest is being hosted by local restaurant Belt in the Eye, Inc. and other Wayland Main Street businesses.
Visitors are asked to bring a non-perishable food item to donate to the local food bank. Organizers will also accept cash donations to be used to purchase food for families in need.
