NUNDA — The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting a National Night Out Tuesday in Nunda from 4-7 p.m. in Kiwanis Park at 28 Portage Street (Rt 436).
The event is sponsored by Sheriff Dougherty and the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office in partnership with Chief Dale and the Nunda Police Department.
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.
Meet your Sheriff’s Office Deputies, K9 units and Mounted Patrol, see demonstrations by specialty units and learn about programs and services the Sheriff’s Office and other agencies provide the community.
Other agencies attending include the Avon Police Department, Mt. Morris Police Department, NYS DEC, NY State Troopers, US Marshall’s Service, NYS Parole, Nunda Fire Department, Nunda Ambulance, Livingston County EMS, CASA-Trinity, Livingston County Cooperative Extension, Livingston County Probation and others.
