NAPLES — Bristol Valley Theater, the Finger Lakes' award-winning live professional theater, will continue its 2019 summer season with Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Jersey Lily.
Holmes (and Watson) are on the case! This time they’re tied up with some real life characters including legendary playwright and raconteur Oscar Wilde and starlet Lillie Langtry. Langtry is being blackmailed because of her illicit relationship with the Duke of Windsor. A familiar villain emerges from the shadows to wreak havoc. BVT favorite Chris Handley returns to play the timeless detective.
“I got introduced to Sherlock when my mom read it to me when the power went out, and we couldn’t watch TV,” says director Karin Bowersock. “I have been hooked on it ever since.”
Performances run July 25-Aug. 4 at Bristol Valley Theater, 151 S. Main Street in Naples. Evening shows will take place July 25-27 and Aug. 1-3. Matinees occur July 28, July 31-Aug. 1, and Aug. 4. Ticket prices are $35 for adults, $33 for seniors, and $27 for groups of 15 or more. For reservations and further information, call the box office at 585-374-6318 or visit www.bvtnaples.org.
