FBI also involved in Mount Morris drug bust

MOUNT MORRIS — The Livingston County Drug Task Force Thursday reported the arrest of four Mount Morris residents after an 18-month investigation into drug trafficking.

On Wednesday, the Livingston County Drug Task Force in conjunction with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) executed search warrants and arrest warrants in the Village of Mount Morris.

Simultaneous warrant executions by the FBI and the Livingston County Sheriff’s SWAT team occurred on Main Street and Chapel Street in the Village of Mount Morris Wednesday evening.

Charged on local state charges are Yeleskey T. Soler-Vazquez, 18, and Edwin J. Soler-Vazquez, 21. They are charged with third degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, a class B felony.

They were later arraigned in Livingston County C.A.P. Court at the Livingston County Jail where they were remanded to the custody of the Sheriff on $25,000 cash or $50,000 bond.

Charged federally on FBI charges were two individuals who can’t yet be named due to their arraignment status, authorities said. US Attorney JP Kennedy at the US Attorney’s Office will be addressing those charges.

More details will be made available in the future and more arrests are expected, police said, but to maintain the integrity of this ongoing and active investigation, no further details will be released at this time.

The Livingston County Drug Task Force is comprised of the Sheriff’s Office, Avon PD, Caledonia PD, Dansville PD, Geneseo PD, Mount Morris PD, Nunda PD and the DA’s Office.
