MOUNT MORRIS — The new UR Medicine - Noyes Health Dialysis Extension Clinic located within the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation (CNR) has officially begun taking in patients.

Patients will initially be residents of the CNR but the clinic will open up to others in need of dialysis treatment within the surrounding communities by October 2019.

This new facility is only the second nursing home-based dialysis clinic in New York State. Debbie Dieter is the RN Manager for the clinic and she is excited to start welcoming patients next week. Nursing home residents will no longer need to travel to the Geneseo clinic which can make for a long day.

At full capacity, the Dialysis Extension Clinic will be able to treat up to 30 individuals by operating three shifts per day, six days per week. The clinic features comfortable chairs for the patients and televisions for each individual to watch while they are receiving treatment.

This inaugural opening is representative of the culmination of efforts between the collective organizations to continue to expand services to both improve the quality of life of the residents and patients of the CNR and to continue to meet the growing clinical needs of the community.
