GENESEO — Livingston County will be celebrating its Bicentennial in 2021 but the planning has already begun. The Bicentennial Steering Committee is looking for a great logo to represent this occasion and to be used with all Bicentennial celebration events.

The individual submitting the winning design will win a $200 Visa Gift Card. 

Guidelines for Logo Design:

1) Design must be professional, original and avoid any clip art.

2) Must include the terms - "Livingston County, New York" or "Livingston County, NY" and the number 200.

3) Must use the colors of the county flag (yellow, blue, green)*.

4) Must incorporate a recognizable architectural element of the Livingston County Courthouse.

5) Design should be simple and straightforward.

6) Must include the years 1821-2021.

Deadline: All submissions need to be in digital format and submitted to the County Historian via email no later than Nov. 30, 2018.

*Symbolism of the colors of the county flag: yellow (or gold) - symbolic of the grain grown in the northern part of the county, blue - the Genesee River that runs through the county, green is symbolic of the forests in the southern part of the county.
