GENESEO — The Livingston County Sheriff's Office arrested a father and son from Bath on drug related charges after a traffic stop.
On Sept. 8, Deputy Shawn Whitford stopped a vehicle on Interstate 390 for a traffic violation.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as Craig H. Burlew, 52, and passenger Anthony M. Burlew, 31. During the course of the deputy’s roadside investigation, he suspected that the two were involved with drug activity.
Further investigation revealed that Craig Burlew was allegedly in possession of methamphetamine and marijuana. Anthony Burlew was also allegedly in possession of methamphetamine and a drug smoking device.
Craig Burlew was arrested and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Anthony Burlew was arrested and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia.
Craig and Anthony Burlew were arraigned at the Livingston County Centralized Arraignment Part (LC-CAP) at the Livingston County Jail before Town of Mount Morris Justice David Provo. The Judge remanded Craig Burlew to Livingston County Jail on $500 cash bail or $1,000 bond. Anthony Burlew was remanded on $750 cash bail or $1,500 bond.
