SPARTA — A North Dansville man faces charges following a driving while intoxicated Crash in the Town of Sparta on Saturday.

On Saturday, Dec. 30, at around 9:57 p.m., State Police from SP Lima responded to State Route 256, town of Sparta, for a one vehicle property damage accident.

The investigation revealed that a Chevrolet Malibu operated by Jacob C. Holley, 60, of North Dansville was southbound when it struck a guide rail on the west shoulder and went down an embankment.

Holley showed signs of intoxication and failed field sobriety tests. He was taken into custody and submitted to a breath test with a result of .13 BAC.

Holley was charged with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated and ticketed for speed not reasonable and prudent. He is scheduled to appear before the Sparta Town Court on Jan. 22, at 2 p.m.
