NUNDA — Livingston County Sheriff Thomas J. Dougherty Monday reported the arrest of two men following a burglary investigation.

On Dec. 9 at approximately 8:15 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the residence on Delude Hill Road in the Town of Nunda for reported burglary to a shed. The property owner reported that he saw fresh footprints leading to the shed. Upon further inspection he realized that somebody had forced entry to the shed and stolen paintball equipment and an air compressor.

The investigation by the Sheriff's Office led to the arrest of two men, 26-year-old Joseph C. Jeffords of Dalton and 25-year-old Cammeron J. Velazquez of Mt. Morris. Both men were arrested on Dec. 9 and were charged with felony third-degree burglary, fourth-degree criminal mischief and petit larceny. The stolen items were recovered during the investigation.

The two were later arraigned in the Town of Nunda Court and remanded to the Livingston County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.
