YORK — A woman who was allegedly driving as fast as 107 mph in a 55 mph zone was charged Saturday with driving while intoxicated, Livingston County Sheriff Thomas J. Dougherty reported today.

Shortly after midnight on Saturday, Deputy Connor Sanford of the Sheriff’s Office STOP DWI Unit observed a vehicle traveling east at a high speed and clocked it at 107 mph.

The vehicle was stopped and the driver was identified as Megan Rudney, 21, of Scottsville.  Rudney performing field sobriety tests.  Following the investigation, Rudney was charged.

At the county jail, Deputy Anastassia Vasile of the Jail Division administered a breath test, which provided a blood-alcohol content of .08 percent. Rudney was released and is due to appear at a later date in court.
