WAYLAND — The ghosties, ghoulies, vampires, werewolfs, ghostbusters, zombies, and other creatures were out in droves on Oct. 29 for the Halloween Parade.
The Seeley Family, Clayton Family, and Wilson’s and Wright’s were among them.
Laura Seeley and her six children; Kennedy, Peyton, Kendall, Cadence, Brayleigh, and Brenna were doing the Ghostbusters theme this year.
“They love it,” Seeley said. “Last year we did the Shrek theme.”
Seeley lives on a farm in Perkinsville, and hopes to get her horses in the parade next year.
Lindsay, Patty, Lynn, Chris, Lillian, and Josephine Clayton all did the safari theme this year.
“This is a family tradition,” Lynn Clayton said. “We did this in the 1980s with my sons as an outlaw and sheriff. I am glad they are picking it up again.”
Lisa and Tony Wilson and Sara and Sammy Wright did the Saw theme this year.
“This is Tony’s first year doing it,” Sara Wright said. “Lisa and I are sisters.”
The sisters run the family-owned restaurant Sammy’s Place in Springwater.
Sara Wright said she loves doing the villains with her son.
The Wayland Rotary Club handed out donuts and apple cider at the Five Star Bank after the parade.
