Dansville Police advise the arrest of a Dansville resident and Nunda resident.
On Aug. 21 Dansville Police initiated a traffic stop after observing Andrew Lemmon Jr., of Nunda operating a vehicle. Andrew had an active warrant out of the Village of Dansville as well as being a suspended driver in NYS. Upon interviewing the other persons in the vehicle a crack pipe was located in the grass next to the vehicle. After a search of the vehicle Dansville Police did locate an amount of crack cocaine.
Also arrested was Daniel Cooke of Dansville for seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Both Cooke and Lemmon were arraigned in front of Justice Werth. Both were remanded to the Livingston County Jail on $1,000/$2,000 and are to return to Court at a later date.
Dansville Police were assisted on scene by Livingston County Sheriffs Office as well as NYS Police K9 unit.
