NORTH DANVILLE — A Rochester man is caught selling herion in Dansville with five children in the car.
The Livingston County Drug Task Force reports the arrest of John M. Colon, 27, for trafficking heroin.
On Aug. 4 Deputy Sheriffs arrested Colon following a drug investigation by the Livingston County Drug Task Force. The investigation alleges Colon sold 44 bags of heroin in the Town of North Dansville.
The investigation also alleges that Colon had five children in his vehicle when he transported the heroin to the sale location.
The children were turned over to a family member and Child Protective Services were notified.
Colon was charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and five counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
Colon was transported to Central Booking at the Livingston County Jail for processing and pre-arraignment detention.
Assistant District Attorney Josh Tonra did give a bail recommendation of $15,000 cash or $30,000 bond.
Colon was arraigned on Aug. 5 in Dansville Town Court before Justice Werth. The Judge did hold Colon $15,000 cash or $30,000 bond.
