The Dansville Police Department advise the arrest of a Dansville resident for numerous vehicle and traffic laws as well as penal law arrests following a vehicle pursuit on Monday, April 18.
A Dansville Police Officer attempted to make a traffic stop on Clara Barton Street in the Village of Dansville after observing a vehicle and traffic law violation. The vehicle did not pull over for the Dansville Police Officer and attempted to flee from the Police. The Dansville Police pursued the vehicle on St. Rt. 36, into Canaseraga where the vehicle then turned onto Rt 70. The vehicle then traveled into the Town of Nunda where Nunda Officer Ryan Dale deployed spike strips in the roadway. The vehicle did strike the spike strips and both front tires were damaged. The vehicle then pulled over and the operator did exit the vehicle and attempt to flee police on foot. After a short foot chase the operator was caught and taken into custody. At that time the operator was identified as Willow S. Mcfadden, age 18. The Police pursuit lasted approximately 16 minutes in which the suspect vehicle was traveling in excess of the posted speed limits.
Mcfadden was charged with Felony Driving while Intoxicated due to a prior conviction along with numerous other vehicle and traffic law violations. Mcfadden was also charged with Unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle in the 3rd degree, resisting arrest and possession of alcohol under the age of 21.
Mcfadden was arraigned in front of Judge Werth of the Dansville Court and was remanded to the Livingston County Jail on $5000/10,000.
