FRIENDSHIP — A Cheyenne, Wyo., man sustained fatal injuries following a one car motor vehicle accident on Interstate 86 eastbound, New York State Police announced tonight.

Larry W. Bush, 66, was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer around 2:45 p.m. today. Initial investigation by the Troop “A” Collision Reconstruction Unit determined the Trailblazer traveled across both eastbound lanes and onto the center median. The vehicle then returned to the highway, at which point it overturned and came to rest on the passenger side.

Bush was airlifted to Erie County Medical Center by Mercy Flight, where he later died. A portion of Interstate 86 was closed due to the accident, but has since re-opened. Amity-based State Police are investigating the accident.
