HORNELL — Current two-term Westchester County executive and Republican gubernatorial candidate Rob Astorino plans a campaign stop in Hornell on Friday.

Astorino will be accompanied by his lieutenant governor running mate, Chemung County sheriff and New York State Sheriff's Association vice president, Chris Moss.

The event will take place at 3 p.m. in front of the Hornell Elks Lodge at 60 Broadway Mall. The "meet and greet" appearance is being hosted by Hornell GOP Chairman John Buckley.

Astorino is expected to address a wide range of issues. The meet and greet is open to the general public. If the event is met with rain, it will be held inside the Elks lodge.

Astorino and Moss accepted their party's nomination at its May convention, and will challenge incumbent Democratic Governor Andrew Cuomo and lieutenant governor candidate former Rep. Kathy Hochul this November.
