  • What it is: A film crew for the Travel Channel’s new show “Off Limits” filmed in Dansville March 22.
Part of the sixth episode of the Travel Channel’s new show, “Off Limits” was filmed in Dansville this week.
The show, scheduled to begin its first season in May, is about exploring places that are off limits to the public, and delves into the history of each place and how the surrounding area, and essentially America, was influenced by it.
Each episode is hosted by Don Wildman, who is accompanied by a local historian.
Dansville’s David Gilbert, curator for the Dansville Area Historical Society Museum, was the on-camera tour guide who relayed much of the Castle’s history for the show.
When asked about his impression of the Castle, supervising producer Chris Bray said that he was pleasantly surprised at how enlightened the philosophies were of the early health pioneers who made the Castle a nationally recognized health spa.
“Off Limits” is planning to air the Dansville and greater-Buffalo-area episode in early June.
