The month of December has flown by with activities and performances galore. The concerts have been wonderful and filled with the music of talented and hard-working students under the tutelage of their directors. The Drama Club production of “You Can’t Take it With You” successfully marked the changing of the guard in terms of directors of the production. This too was a successful venture and highlighted some experienced and newcomers on the stage.

The first day of winter recess is Friday, Dec. 24, and students will return on Monday, Jan. 3. We hope this time is a time of celebration and an opportunity for families to spend some additional time together enjoying one another’s company. We would like to say thank you to everyone who supported Wayland-Cohocton’s children and their families throughout this season of giving. It seems that a request for help does not go unanswered and there is always someone there to help out.

There will be no Chalk Talk column next week while students are off for vacation. We will return on December 30 in preparation for the students’ return from vacation. Once again, we thank the Genesee Country Express for including this column in its publication and wish all of its staff a wonderful holiday season.
