Students in grades three through eight will be taking the New York State Assessments over the next few weeks. The exams are important and they provide teachers with feedback on what students know and what they can do. Children require a good night’s rest and a healthy breakfast each day. Please use this testing period to reinforce good nutrition, study and sleep habits with your children.

Music Festival
The annual Dansville Band Booster Music Festival will be held on Sunday, May 1 at 2 p.m. at the Dansville High School Auditorium. This event will feature the Dansville Middle School Brass Ensemble and 78 RPM. Dansville Alumni Margaret McGowan, Katie McGowan and Marilyn Robin will be performing along with many other talented Dansville student musicians. Tickets are $5 and those under the age of 18 are admitted free.

School Organizations Looking For Members
Numerous organizations including the three Parent Teacher Organizations and the All Sports Booster Club are always looking for new members or volunteers for their numerous events. If you are interested in participating with these organizations a complete schedule of meetings is available on the district web calendar. The PreK-5th Grade PTO will meet on Monday, May 2 at 6 p.m. in the elementary library. The All Sports Booster Club meets on Monday, May 2 at 7 p.m. in the high school library conference room. These organizations contribute a great deal to student activities and school programs and are open to anyone in the Dansville community.

EBH Library Book Fair
The Elementary Library Book Fair will run May 2-6. This is a buy-one-get-one event and will help raise funds to purchase library supplies for the EBH Library.
