In their final game of the year, Friday in Livonia, the Dansville junior varsity girls basketball completed a perfect 18-0 season with a 50-46 victory.

The game proved to be one of the most challenging for the Mustangs this season.

“This indeed was a very tough game for us,” Coach Mark McGavisk said. “We didn't have a lot of experience coming from behind this year. But we really put together a solid defensive second half in holding them to just 12 points. I have to believe that this and the Perry game were our toughest battle this year. I give the girls credit, they worked hard and got the job done ... That’s the mentality that makes it possible to have a season like we’ve had. It’s really a tribute to the attitudes and worth ethics of these girls.”
