Wayland-Cohocton girls soccer team went on the road Oct. 19 in hopes of a victory in Allegany County. There was no such luck as Wellsville scored one of their goals on a deflection off a Golden Eagles defender with 10:09 remaining in the first half. The Lions netted one more about 14 minutes into the second half to secure the 2-0 win over Way-Co.


Wellsville outshot Way-Co 20-9 while Eagles goalie Amber Callahan had 15 saves.
