Keshequa visited Geneseo last Wednesday and both teams put some extra time on the clock before the Blue Devils claimed the 2-1 overtime win. Geneseo scored in the 22nd minute when Morgan Keihl made a shot on an assist from Lara Pavone. Keshequa finally knotted things up in the 66th minute when Gabrielle DiAngelo booted in a long direct kick from 20 yards out. Both defenses squeezed their opponents through the remainder of regulation. In the 89th minute, Geneseo’s Erin Adonnino scored unassisted in the box to win.

“We had a so-so first half, but I really feel we outplayed them in the second half and in the overtime, but we just couldn’t find the back of the net on any of those chances,” Keshequa Coach Pete Goho said.

Keshequa held a slight edge in shots 10-8. Both keepers recorded seven saves, Morgan Howe for Keshequa and Kelly Johnson for Geneseo.
