Lifespring, Saugerties' own homegrown lifetime learning institute for active retirees is once again breaking new ground.
ArtWorks, a Lifespring one day art event on July 25,  is a first for the Mid-Hudson Valley and there are still openings in classes for interested area residents who are age 55 and over.
Spend a day immersing yourself in the arts –taking classes in poetry writing, harmonica, belly dancing, improvisation, memoir-writing, plus many more creative arts that you may be curious about but have not had the time to pursue. Now is the opportunity to learn from outstanding Hudson Valley artists, writers, performers and musicians. ArtWorks will take place Wednesday, July 25, from 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. at the Woodstock Jewish Congregation, Glasco Turnpike and Rte. 212 in Saugerties. $30 fee entitles the registrant to as many as 4 workshops, and includes continental breakfast and catered lunch.

Go to for a brochure and registration form, or call 845 246-2800 ext. 452 to request that a brochure be mailed to you.
Registration deadline is June 11.
