KINGSTON PARANORMAL SOCIETY
Curious about ghosts, hauntings and other paranormal activity? Come to the library on Monday, October 29th at 6 pm and meet the team of Kingston Paranormal Society, a local group which investigates and documents paranormal activity in the area.

KNOW THE ABC’s and D’s OF MEDICARE
Attend a free seminar on Tuesday, October 30th at 6 pm and gain a better understanding of Medicare.  Navigating through Medicare can be overwhelming and making wrong choices can cost you. Guest speaker, Jim Farnham, will give you the information you need to make good decisions concerning your health insurance coverage.

HOW TO WRITE A WINNING COLLEGE ESSAY
Parents and students are invited to meet Sandra M. Moore, M.A. on Thursday, November 1st at 7 pm.  Learn how to create well-crafted, memorable college essays that demonstrate what makes you unique. The presentation includes specific “dos and don’ts” and useful tips on choosing the perfect topic and effectively structuring your story.  FREE

COMMUNICATE BETTER WITH YOUR PET
Come to the library on Wednesday, November 7th to hear Cindy Brody talk about CinergE, Animal Communication, Reiki, Energy Work and how it helps us to understand our dogs.  Cindy will demonstrate and share a few techniques that help you communicate on a higher level with your pet.  All are welcome.

KNITWITS CHARITY KNIT

Do you have leftover yarn that you don’t know what to do with?  Why not knit a 7”x 9” rectangle and donate it to the library?  The library will be collecting rectangles to piece together an afghan to donate to a local charity.  Lend you skills and yarn to a good cause!  The Knitwits group meets every Wednesday at 6 pm.  All ages and skill levels are welcome.

WEEKLY STORY TIMES
There are four weekly story times scheduled.  Tuesdays at 11 am pre -school children ages 3 to 6 years old are invited to share stories, songs, finger plays and felt board fun.  Two lap-sit story times especially for children ages 1 to 3 take place on Thursdays at 11:15 am and Fridays at 10:30 am.  Children ages 4-7 are invited to the library on Saturdays at 12:30 pm for stories and a craft. Early literacy is an important part of a child’s growth.  All are welcome to drop in.  No registration required.
