Keshequa boys soccer started the final week of the regular season off with a victory as they edged Avon 1-0 on Monday in Nunda. The game's lone goal was in the 27th minute. Terry Forrester got things underway with a free kick from about 30 yards out. The ball sailed into the boys where Dakoka James headed it across the goal where Justin Coates was waiting about five yards out to bump it in for the 1-0 victory.
The contest was close from a statistical standpoint as well. Keshequa held a slim edge in shots 9-8, while Indians keeper Ben Johnson nabbed five saves.
