Keshequa boys soccer took a trip to Geneseo on Oct. 12 in hopes of getting a share of the LCAA Division III top spot. Instead both teams came away with the same thing, a scoreless tie.


“It was a real battle back and forth,” Indians Coach Ron Macomber Jr. said. “Each team had some chances to score, but the defenses and goalkeepers also did an equally great job.”


Geneseo outshot Keshequa 15-6, but the visiting Indians held a 4-3 edge in corner kicks. Ben Johnson had nine saves, while Geneseo’s Joe Rutigliano stopped three shots.
