The Middle School held its second annual bookmark design contest recently. Seventeen students submitted their original ideas and students at each grade level voted on their favorite selection. The winning bookmarks will be used in the library and made available to all students. Susan DeMuth and the staff at Shapes Etc. are assisting in the project by trimming the bookmarks to the correct size. Winners of the contest were, Sabrina Bollinger (seventh grade), Jade Anderson (sixth grade) and Paige Hurlburt (eighth grade).

Back to school

Students and staff return to the buildings on Monday, Jan. 23. Don’t forget to dress appropriately and arrive to the buildings at appropriate times. Winter weather is here to stay for a few months and students shouldn’t be left standing outside. Contact your child’s building if you are uncertain of appropriate drop-off times. Changes to the bus unloading procedures have made the morning process somewhat smoother.

Automated phone calls

Please look for information in the upcoming district newsletter regarding the automated phone calling system. This system is used for important messages, upcoming events, school closings and emergency notification. If the correct numbers are not being called for your family, the newsletter includes a form you may submit to clarify the appropriate numbers. Please complete the form and return it to your child’s school.
