Come celebrate a day of Sharing and Caring at Nugget Hill Event Center in a lovely fall setting Oct. 23 at 11:30 a.m.

The event is to bring awareness and funds for the needs of Chances and Changes, a program that assist victims of domestic violence, and Wayland-Cohocton Dog Pound.

The two organizations are partnering together for this event as there is a correlation between domestic violence and animal abuse.

The event will encompass a luncheon, fashion show, silent auction and raffle. Many businesses and organizations from the Wayland, Dansville and surrounding areas have made donations to the auction, raffle and luncheon for this event.

Included in the auction is a quilt from Material Rewards, a Vere Bradley Bag from Dansville Stationers, a Lia Sophia necklace, a three-month gift certificate from Curves in Hornell, and artwork from local artists.

There will be around 35 baskets and gift certificates for the raffle. The fashion show will be presented by the Bath Fashion Bug and many local people will serve as models.

If interested in tickets, contact Betty Button at 658-3940 or 728-9949, or Marsha DeNee at 335-8130 or Kelly Shafer at The Wayland Elementary School. Tickets are $12 in advance or $15 at the door.

The benefit should wrap up between 2:30 and 3 p.m.
