Dansville's (6-1, 6-2) boys track took the win against Hornell Tuesday (May 11) with a score of 75-66.
Josh Newcomb set the pace for the day, early in the meet winning the 800 by half a step and completed a great afternoon of running with a “win the relay  -  win the meet”  1600 relay first place with teammates Justin Dieter, Kyle Oswald and Andrew DellaVilla. Phil Longo won the long  and triple jump and tied with Dave Coombes for first in the high jump. Tim McGowan won the 1600m and 3200m runs and then teamed up with Danny Pierce, Chris DeBerardinis and Brett Barden to win the 3200m relay. Dylan Parsons won the 110m Hurdles with Geoff VanDunk scoring an important third place.
Also taking important places on the day were; Danny Pierce in the 800m, Brett Barden in the 1600m and 3200m, and Bryan Wood teamed up with Aidan Rollman in the shot put taking second and third places.
Dansville will host the LCAA Steeple Chase this evening starting at 5 p.m., along with the pole vault and the first half of the pentathlon.
