Elementary students will celebrate Read Across America week with special events including theme days and some wonderful books provided by the elementary schools. Students and their families are asked to read together and to enjoy the time improving skills and being in the company of one another.


The PTSA will host a free family swim night, 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 2. Celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday with movies and a cake. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult in the pool area. Non-swimmers must be accompanied by an adult in the water.


The Spotlight and Spotlight Pink middle school music groups will perform at the Springwater Historical Society meeting on Tuesday, March 13. These groups, directed by Brenda Richey, enjoy performing in the community and will feature group and solo numbers. This meeting is free and open to the public. Bring a dish to pass and table service and join in the dinner beginning at 6:30 p.m. or come for the performance at 7:15 p.m.
