It is hard to believe the year has gone by so fast. Please mark your calendars for the annual school budget and board candidate vote on Tuesday, May 15, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voting will be held in the LGI on the Wayland campus for all eligible Wayland-Cohocton residents. Voters will be deciding on the school budget, local library increases and choosing two of the three candidates to serve on the board for five year terms. Also that day, the campus will be busy with numerous activities. The cheerleaders are hosting a chicken barbecue with the meal prepared by Smitty’s. They will serve 3:30-6:30 p.m. or until the chicken is gone. Meals are $8.50 for a half chicken meal with take-outs available. Meal includes a half chicken, salt potatoes, macaroni salad, cookie and a lemonade, if you are eating in. The high school art show will be open in the field house from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. There will be high school band and chorus concert at 7 p.m. in the auditorium as well.
If you have any questions about the budget, don’t hesitate to contact the school at 585-728-2211. We will be happy to answer your questions.
