WDNY's new morning show announcer and advertising sales rep tells us about himself.
In three sentences, can you tell us how you got into your line of work? I always liked listening to DJ's on the radio growing up on Long Island NY. I was sanding cars at Macco Auto Collision and was tired of hacking from breathing that nasty dust. I actually heard a commercial for a broadcasting school on the radio and figured I'd give that a try. It worked out pretty well. oops that's 4 sentences...
What do you like most about your work? Creativity. If it's a live break on the air or producing a commercial being creative keeps the brain fresh..even at my age! I also enjoy meeting new clients and the challenge of proving the power of radio! It works!
What advice do you have for someone who wants to get into your line of work? Make lots of money first. Bank it, then follow your dream.
