A Girl Scout Ecumenical  observance is planned for Sunday, March 6, the beginning of the national celebration of GS Week, starting at 2 p.m. in the Saugerties United Methodist Church, Washington Ave.       
The Saugerties GS Community Heart of the Hudson continues the tradition and  invites all levels  of  Girl Scouts, Daisies through Seniors,  to attend as a troop or  individually,  accompanied by their families and friends of Scouting.
Participating  clergy will be the Reverend Jeanette Tweedy, Pastor of  Trinity Episcopal Church, the Rev. Mr. Donald Trees, Deacon at St. Mary of the Snow Church and the host Pastor, the Reverend Duane Buddle
The massing of the colors opens the hour long observance which includes  brief Scripture readings,  the GS law candle lighting ritual, donation to the Juliette Low World Friendship fund, a friendship circle and  taps, interspersed with favorite interactive Girl Scout songs.
Cookies and juice will be served in the Fellowship Hall following the service.
Flag bearers are asked to meet at 1:30 p.m. to practice.
